HIPPEROS Chief Scientist receives an Influential Papers Award at RTNS 2017
Prof. J. Goossens, Chief Scientist at HIPPEROS, receives an Influential Papers Award in the framework of the 25th anniversary of the International Conference on Real-Time Networks and Systems RTNS 2017. The awarded paper is entitled Limitation of the hyper-period in real-time periodic task set generation. The research presents a method to generate arbitrary and randomly periodic real-time tasks.
The originality of the method relays on the smart way to choose the task periods in order to reduce the hyper-period of the system. This result speedups the timing analysis validation and verification phase in the design of real-time system, using the HIPPEROS technology schedulability tools in particular, by reducing the length of the observation interval.
